Being broke is rough. One of the things you learn to give up is meat. Let's check this week's shopping cart:
- Black beans? Check.
- Sliced turkey for lunch? Check.
- Ground turkey for dinner? Check.
- Turkey bacon for breakfast? Check.
- Rice? Check.
- Eggs? Check.
No hamburger, no fish, strictly turkey -- which is going for ~ $1.99/lb in these parts. Much cheaper than $4.99/lb for beef.
Well, at least turkey is healthy.
