This is a self-portrait I made of myself back in 2004, when my wife was in a really, really bad place. Even though the holidays are usually rough, due to family tensions, traveling, kids, etc. -- I think back to when life was *really* bad for everyone.
The moral? Even when you think life is bad, it's never quite *that* bad.
